THINGS THAT MAKE ADULT ADHD WORSE

1) LACK OF EXERCISE Your ADHD may be to blame if your memory is hazy. Your memory can be improved with exercise. 2) EATING OUT OFTEN ADHD can be managed by healthy foods. Restaurant food is packed with calories, sugar, salt and fat. With eating out often, you will not get enough fruits and vegetables. Also, try to leave off junk food. See if your symptoms get better. 3) SKIPPING BREAKFAST Not eating breakfast could make your ADHD worse. Breakfast can help you think and keep you focused longer early in the day. Try to eat a little something even if your medication takes away your appetite. 4) MESSY HOMES A messy home could make some symptoms worse. This could remind you of all you have to do. It can be too much sometimes. Clearing the clutter can make you more productive and ease worries. 5) TOO MUCH STUFF You may find it easy to accumulate too much stuff. Try this: For every new item that comes into your house, you have to donate an old one. 6) LACK OF SLEEP A stimulant medication is the cause for some. Anxiety, depression and other conditions that come along with ADHD are to blame for others. Lack of sleep can worsen symptoms like lack of focus and problems with motor skills. 7) QUITTING THERAPY Stick with therapy and medication if you are doing well. Research has shown the combination of therapy and medication really helps ADHD. Your symptoms may get worse if you quit. 8) TOO MUCH INTERNET Doctors have found links between a lot of screen time and ADHD. ADHD symptoms can become more severe with internet addiction. 9) NOT ENOUGH CAFFEINE Your symptoms could get better with your coffee or tea habit. Trying to eliminate caffeine from your diet may make your ADHD worse. Caffeine could make you alert, help you focus and help your brain work better.
