Distinct Personality Disorders Described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manuel of Mental Disorders
The DSM-5 recognizes 10 different personality disorders grouped into three categories or "clusters". CLUSTER A: Odd, Bizarre, Eccentric Paranoid Personality Disorder, Schizoid PD, Schizotypal PD CLUSTER B: Dramatic, Erratic Antisocial PD, Borderline PD, Histrionic PD, Narcissistic PD CLUSTER C: Anxious, Fearful Avoidant PD, Dependent PD, Obsessive-Compulsive PD Even though psychology differentiates the 10 personality disorders based on behaviors, they can overlap and make a diagnosis difficult.
