HOW DO I STOP FOOD BINGES?

On Quaro Answered by Kerstan xxxxxx, I recovered from 7+ years binge eating with mindset tools and No Diets approach. "The first step is to find why you are bingeing. There can be several reasons: Restricting foods We can't function without food, no matter how much willpower we have. When we're starving, starving, starving, we stretch it so far that one moment we can't help but give up and eat all in sight. Because we're so hungry! Dieting Trying one diet after another puts our body and mind under a constant stress. The more we diet, the more likely we are to crash when it's gone too far. Try to "fix" other problems For me, they were 1 ) unhappy relationship 2) not satisfying job Needless to say, overeating didn't solve them; breaking up and switching career did.) Of course, there can be other reasons. But once you've found them, you can start filling the void in ways that really help. Binge eating is just a temporary mechanism to try to cope with what's bothering you. But if you're constantly dieting, my advice is to STOP that. You can eat basically everything in moderation. When we get rid of restrictions, those previous restricted foods loose their attractiveness and we loose the need to binge on them."
