What is the difference between meditation and mindfulness?

Both meditation and mindfulness originated in the ancient history of spiritual religion that practiced chants and mantras. These two may be different, but they complement each other. Meditation helps us achieve peace from within. Mindfulness helps be at peace with the goings on in our surroundings. They should not be confused with one another as they are contrasting things. Meditation is an internal peace process. Mindfulness is external. The two have diverse function and explanation. Mindful meditation is one significant thing to note because it is an activity that overlaps the two, It is where one brings awareness into the time being through a more orienated and centered manner of meditation. Meditation is actually a broad terminology. It covers the activity of accomplishing strength and awareness to recognize and shape the mental state. Meditation calls for a number of methods and qualities to come through a deepened state of mind, such as, mindfulness, mercy and patience. Just like yoga, mindfulness is under the umbrella of meditation. Mindfulness is not about stressing and thinking hard. Meditation is not about turning off the mind. These two practices are abilities that help us come to terms with peace externally and internally. They provide a means to gain happiness . Both lesson stress by letting go of past and future worries.
