THE CREDIT FOR CARING ACT: Tax Credit for Family Caregivers Blogger:Being Sane Takes Too Much Work

This bipartisen bill would help those who assist loved ones financially. Nearly 7 out of 10 family members, according to a national survey, have used their own money to help care for a relative. These family caregivers pay an average of 5,500 annually to assist their relatives over 50, trying to help them live in their homes independently. Taxpayers are saved money by avoiding costly nursing home care, which is often paid by Medicaid. It also helps with the unnecessary hospitalizations. This bill would provide a federal tax credit of up to $3,00 for eligible working caregivers who financially help family members. Call 844-259-9355 toll-free. Ask lawmakers to cosponsor the Credit for Caring Act.
