A recent study shows guilt-prone people have a lot of emotional intelligence and empathy. According to study coauthor Matt Treeby, Ph.D.,of La Trobe University in Australia, when a guilt-prone person hurts someone, they are able to understand how that person feels. They will fix it. Knowing you are a good person from being guilt-prone might not banish those feelings of regret, but it could help you break free from their hold. May 2016 REDBOOKMAG.COM
