WHICH STATES DRINK THE HARDEST

Analysis of binge drinking in America between 2005 and 2012.    5 states with the highest rates are: 5.  Iowa  4.  District of Columbia  3. Montana  2. Vermont  1. Wisconsin.  12% of residents in Wisconsin drank heavily.  More than 7 drinks in one week for women.  And more than 14 drinks in one week for men.  5 states with the lowest rate are:  1. Utah  with only 5.2%.  2. West Virginia  3. Tennessee  4. Mississippi  5. Oklahoma.  According to the Washington Post, the lightest drinking is found in the South.  Northwest and Midwest have the highest rates of binge drinking.
