Lavender and Rosemary are Stress-Busters

Taking a deep whiff of lavender or rosemary may put you into a more relaxed state. By inhaling those aromas, your levels of the hormone cortisol may be lowered. The act of breathing deeply is also a stress buster. Deep breathing helps to calm you down by sending oxygen surging through your blood stream.
