Don't pretend to feel happy all the time

According to a recent study published by the American Psychological Association, the secret to a joyful life is letting yourself experience every emotion, including the unpleasant ones. Study coauthor Maya Tamir, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem says, "People think happiness is about only feeling good. But when you also embrace emotions like anger or sadness, you will likely be more satisfied with your life overall".
