Are there ways to tell if someone is manipulative right away?

"Healthy social influence differs from psychological manipulation. Healthy social influence is a give and take. In psychological manipulation, one person is used to benefit the other. There are tricks manipulative people use: Asking you general and probing questions to establish a baseline about your thinking and behavior, from which they can then evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, and utilize them. Blaming the victim for their victimization. Aggressive voice and body language to coerce you into giving what they want. Giving you little or no time to decide. Critical remarks and teasing disguised as humor. Judging and criticizing you to make you feel inadequate. Silent treatment. Victimhood, playing weak, powerless or martyr. This is a common tactic of the dark triad(socialpathy, NPD, Machiavellianism) which plays on a person's empathy. QUESTION ON QUARO ANSWERED BY NATALIE ENGELBRECHT, 20+ YR AS PSYCHOLOGIST
