5 Tips To Help You Remember Being Sane Takes Too Much Work

USE AN ACRONYM Take the first letter of a list and remember the acronym. For example, think FLEB flour, lettuce, eggs and butter PREPARE Before going to an event, concentrate on the names of people who might be there. Imagine the person's face and repeat it several times. CONJURE AN IMAGE If you want to remember to call Tom, pay a bill and make a doctor's appointment, create a mental picture of Tom at the doctor's office and writing a check. TAKE A HINT To help recall a name or a word, go through the alphabet in your head, or focus on any sounds you associate with the word. Those exercises can trigger your memory. RELAX An easygoing attitude can actually help. It's harder to recall things when you're anxious.
