LEGEND OF THE POINSETTIA

Long ago on Christmas Eve a little girl knelt to pray beside the manger at the chapel where Jesus' gifts were on display.  She looked sad, without a gift to honor the newborn king.  Just then an Angel appeared and said "I have a gift for you to bring."  She gathered an armful of leaves as the Angel told her to do.  Lo and behold, before her eyes, the leaves turned to a reddish hue:  Now each year at Christmastime Poinsettias bloom everywhere.  Known as the "Flower of the Holy Night".  The miracle from one small prayer.
