Munchausen Syndrome Blogger:Being Sane Takes Too Much Work

Munchausen Syndrome is a psychiatric factitious disorder.  It is a serious mental disorder in which someone deceives others by appearing sick by purposely getting sick or by self-injury. They will also claim to have a psychological trauma all in order to draw attention, sympathy, or reassurance to themselves.  It is also sometimes known as hospital addiction syndrome, thick chart syndrome or hospital hopper syndrome.  The cause of this disorder is a need for attention and sympathy from doctors, nurses and other professionals.  But also the satisfaction in deceiving whom they consider to be more important and powerful than themselves.
