POTATO CHIPS If you have made your own or buy Kettle Chips. Kettle Chips are made from high-fiber, high protein beans and whole grains. CHOCOLATE Select dark chocolate. It has a bean called cacao that is good for your heart, helps in diabetes prevention and reduces stress. Moderation is the key. RED WINE Resveratrol is in red wine. Studies show in rats that it has helped to prevent damage to blood vessels, reduce "bad" cholesterol and prevent blood clots. It's very hopeful that it will benefit humans also. COOKIES-OATMEAL, GINGER AND GRAHAM They are low in calories and sugar. Top them with peanut butter then you have a sweet and salty snack. POPSICLES MADE FROM FRUITS AND VEGGIES Easy to make. Keep them in batches so you have them on hand. COFFEE It helps prevents diabetes and can lower the risk of liver disease. But, go easy on the sugar. ICE CREAM It has bone-strengthening calcium and phosphorus. Potassium is great for lowering your blood pressure. Vitamins Bs for protein and cell growth. CHEESE Calcium is one of the nutrients that is most lacking in American diets. Cheese also has protein, Vitamin A and Vitamin B12.
